Call to submit 2018 EPT and ET bids

With much more delay than was expected; the bid package for the EuroProTour and EuroTour 2018 is finally done, and ready for your submissions.
We are fully aware of this being much later than in previous years. We assume that you have already did your own preparations, and as of you to submit your bids by November 17th by email to the EuroTour Manager, allowing us to publish the definitive agenda December 1st.

Several changes were made to both tours. Some of these are to help strengthen the event staff positions and work flow, and some (mainly for the EuroTour events) were made to help both players and events get the events that the players apparently want. We based our changes on what we observed during the 2017 EuroTour season.

For EuroProTour events, in addition to the 2017 event requirements,
(see 2017 EuroProTour standards), please be aware that the following additional requirements apply:

* If appointed (this is not required), the Assistant TD is – like the TD themselves – to be non-playing.

* Registraton will take place in 4 stages (instead of 7) via DiscGolfMetrix (www.discgolfmetrix.com)
Stage 4 is used to assign wildcards (max 17% of players field size, with absolute maximum at 25).

* Live-scoring is required. It is recommended to DiscGolfMetrix, which is the system used for the 2017 season.

* Until stage 4, 10 guaranteed spots for women are reserved. Any non-filled spots are being filled with players from the waiting list.

* The course must be available only for practice at least 36 hours (that is the minimum, recommended are at least 48 hours) before the start of the tournament with placed baskets, teepads, and signed OB areas. The only exception from the restriction to the practice may be a pretournament event (doubles, etc.) in which the players registered for the main event have a priority in registration and the duration of the pre-tournament event must be limited to 3.5 hours.
