PDGA Europe announces NEW DEADLINE of November 30 for for bids for 2019 EuroProTour and EuroTour events to office@pdga-Europe.com. The bids will be evaluated by the joint PDGA Europe-EDGF committee, the final schedule approved by the PDGA Europe BoD, and the official Europe calendar of 2019 EPT/ET will be announced by December 3rd..
The structure of both tours in 2019 remains almost the same as in 2018. EPT is planned to be the showcase of the top level of European disc golf in MPO and FPO divisions that provides the best players with high tournament standards and challenging and competitive courses. To allow the best players to fully participate in EPT the target number of events in 2019 is four.
ET events are aimed at high level of international competition to showcase the best players in other divisions besides MPO/FPO, including junior, master, and amateur divisions. As in 2018 there is no limit on the number of events and the target is to host ET tournaments in all European regions. A new feature this year will be a limited capacity registration for MPO/FPO in ET events (both at most for 10% of the tournament capacity) during Phase I of the registration, to allow interested TDs to accommodate players in these divisions. Note
The tournament standards for both EPT and ET were modified for 2019 season based on the experience in 2018. Please, check them carefully. If in some cases the bidder cannot ensure some of the expected standards, please, indicate it in your bid proposal, and this information will be used in bid evaluation process.
Note that all bidders should avoid the date collisions with the following events: PDGA Pro Masters Worlds, European Open, PDGA Professional Worlds, WFDF Team Disc Golf Championship, see 2019 PDGA Majors, NT’s, and DGPT Schedule released for the full schedule of PDGA Global Majors and National Tour events.
